It doesn't appear that Chicago Bears linebacker Lance Briggs will let a sore ankle keep him out of Sunday's contest against the Seattle Seahawks.
After tweaking the ankle as last Sunday's 28-10 victory over the Minnesota Vikings was wrapping up, Briggs didn't practice with the team Wednesday, according to a report from Michael C. Wright of ESPNChicago.com on Thursday, but said in the report, "I don't plan on missing this week."
Briggs leads the team with 80 total tackles to go along with two forced fumbles, two interceptions and 1½ sacks this season for a Bears defense that ranks third in the league in yards allowed per game, giving up 307.0. Their 15.9 points allowed per game ranks second in the NFL behind only the San Francisco 49ers.
The Bears host the Seahawks this Sunday at Soldier Field, as kickoff is set for 12 p.m. CT and will be televised on Fox.
