Matt Forte injury: Bears RB limited in practice Wednesday

Matt Forte returned to practice on Wednesday -- but was a limited participant -- just days after injuring his ankle against the Minnesota Vikings.

Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte returned to practice on Wednesday, just days after injuring his ankle during Chicago's Week 12 win over the Minnesota Vikings.

Forte was limited in practice, however.

The Bears running back injured the ankle in the third quarter of Chicago's win, and did not return to the game. Michael Bush filled in for Forte for the remainder of the game, and will likely see a fair share of carries this weekend -- even if Forte is active. Bush finished the game with 60 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

Bush also started for Forte in Week 3, when Forte missed time with an ankle sprain.

More will be known about Forte's status for Week 13 as the week progresses, but Chicago offensive coordinator Mike Tice believes that "he's going to be okay."

So far in 2012, Forte has rushed 158 times for 683 yards and three touchdowns, and has added 27 receptions for 184 yards.
