The Chicago Bears are still rated as one of the best teams in the NFL, but their loss to the Houston Texans this past Sunday night knocked them down a peg or two in most power rankings. Both Pete Prisco of CBS and ESPN's group of writers peg the Bears as the No. 3 team in the NFL.
Both Prisco and ESPN have the same question regarding the Bears: Do they have enough on offense? Both sites recognize that the Bears have a truly elite defense, but Chicago's offense has sputtered in its two high profile losses despite an abundance of on-paper weapons.
That offense, which may or may not be without Jay Cutler, will once again be tested on a big stage when the Bears take on the San Francisco 49ers on Monday night in Week 11. Both CBS & ESPN have the 49ers rated as the No. 4 team in the NFL, so Monday night's game should help to further determine the hierarchy in the NFC.
