Bears vs. Texans inactives: Owen Daniels won't go for Houston

Texans tight end Owen Daniels was among seven Houston players listed as inactive for Sunday night's game with Chicago.

Thomas Campbell-US PRESSWIRE

Set to take on the Chicago Bears on Sunday Night Football, the Houston Texans will be forced to play without the services of tight end Owen Daniels, who was ruled inactive before the game.

Daniels joined six other Houston players on the team's Week 10 inactive list -- a group that includes backup tailback Ben Tate and nose tackle Shaun Cody. The third-year Tate has not been able to suit up for a game since Oct. 21 against Baltimore due to a nagging hamstring injury, and will once again watch as veteran Justin Forsett takes on the No. 2 role in the offense.

Limited at the receiver position in recent weeks due to injuries, the Bears were forced to list both Dane Sanzenbacher and Alshon Jeffery as inactive for Sunday night's game. Jeffery, a 6'4 rookie from South Carolina, returned to practice during the week after breaking his hand back in October, but ultimately was not healthy enough to take the field. In addition, Chicago defensive lineman Matt Toeaina and center Edwin Williams were each also ruled out for their team's Week 10 showdown.

Here is the full inactive list for both squads:

Houston Inactives
Brandon Brooks G
Roc Carmichael DB
Shaun Cody NT
Owen Daniels TE
Troy Nolan DB
Ben Tate RB
Cody White G

Chicago Inactives
Alshon Jeffery WR
Dane Sanzenbacher WR
Matt Toeaina DT
Edwin Williams C
