Week 9 NFL odds: Bears vs. Titans

The Chicago Bears are moderate favorite when they hit the road to take on the Tennessee Titans.

John Gress

The Chicago Bears are once again favorites as they head to Tennessee to take on the Titans on Sunday. The Bears opened favored by four-and-a-half points, but the line has since moved down to three-and-a-half points at most sportsbooks. The total for the game is 43.5 points.

Chicago has been favored in each of their last three contests. The Bears have won all three games, but are just 1-1-1 against the spread over that period. Most recently Chicago managed to eke out a 23-22 win over the Carolina Panthers, but failed to cover the 7-point spread. On the season, the Bears are 4-2-1 against the spread.

The Titans are 3-5 against the spread this season, but 2-2 against the spread at home. Last week they failed to cover as three-point-favorites at home when they lost, 19-13, to the Indianapolis Colts.

The Bears will be looking to force turnovers from a Titans team which has not turned the ball over in either of their last two games. Chicago has yet to force less than two turnovers in any contest this season, and has often provided points and good field position for the Bears offense.
