The Chicago Bears checked out Matt Forte's sprained right ankle when they returned home on Tuesday after defeating the Dallas Cowboys and determined that his health in that area is fine. Head coach Lovie Smith told reporters that Forte is experiencing some soreness in his ankle, but that it is the normal wear and tear of football.
"It was good to see Matt Forte back out there," Smith said. "He didn't come away with anything other than just normal soreness from a game in his ankle, even though he went out after that first play."
