Bulls Head Coach Tom Thibodeau and his players praised Jay Cutler and the Chicago Bears' defense after their 13-7 win over the Detroit Lions on Monday.
Bears quarterback Jay Cutler missed the final possession of the second quarter after he was violently taken down by Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh. Cutler returned to lead Chicago to a field goal on the opening possession of the third quarter to extend his team's lead to 13-0. Cutler finished the game 16-of-31 passing for 150 yards and one touchdown.
Bulls forward Taj Gibson told Jesse Rogers of ESPN Chicago that he was happy that Cutler returned to game while stating that Cutler's willingness to play through the pain is "what Chicago loves."
Thibodeau said he loves the way the Bears' defense is playing and enjoys watching them play despite not knowing much about football.
When asked to compared the Bulls' defense to the Bears', Thibodeau said: "shoot, we have a long way to go."
