Jay Cutler injury: Bears QB has bruised ribs

Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler went into the locker room before halftime after taking a big hit from Ndamukong Suh.

The Bears said Cutler was taken into the locker room for further examination of his ribs. Cutler landed awkwardly when he was sacked late in the second quarter, with Suh landing on top of him. Cutler remained down momentarily, then jogged off to the sideline.

Jason Campbell came in for the Bears for one play before Cutler re-entered the game. He threw a pass and appeared to be alright, but was taken into the locker room prior to Chicago's next possession. Cutler appeared to land on Suh's leg, possibly taking a knee to the ribs.

Cutler completed 9-of-17 passes in the first half, throwing for 73 yards and a touchdown. He also ran twice for 35 yards. In relief of Cutler, Campbell threw one pass for zero yards while scrambling one time for five yards.
