Former Chicago Bears defensive lineman Tommie Harris was arrested late Monday night in Chicago and charged with indecent exposure, urinating in public, and threatening a police officer. All three charges are misdemeanors, with threatening a police officer classified as a simple assault. Harris was arrested in the Wrigleyville neighborhood shortly before midnight on Monday, Oct. 1.
Harris was a three-time Pro Bowler with the Chicago Bears from 2004-2010, but his career was derailed by knee and hamstring injuries. The Bears selected Harris with the 14th overall pick of the 2004 NFL Draft out of Oklahoma. He was released by Chicago in February 2011 and spent last season with the San Diego Chargers, recording three sacks in 13 games.
Harris suffered personal tragedy earlier this year when his wife, Ashley, 29, died in February of a brain aneurysm.
