Week 7 NFL odds and lines, Lions vs. Bears

The Chicago Bears are favored over the Detroit Lions for their Week 7 showdown on Monday Night Football.

The Chicago Bears are rolling right along, and hold first place in the NFC North with a 4-1 record. They're coming off a bye and will be taking on the 2-3 Detroit Lions on Monday, hoping to take a bigger lead over their rivals. According to SB Nation's NFL odds page, the Bears opened up as 6-point favorites, and as far as the other odds makers are concerned, that line is just about right.

You can find them as high as 7-point favorites, but that's about it. Seeing as how the line hasn't moved much, it's clear that folks don't necessarily trust the Bears' offense to be consistent, nor do they like this Lions team to earn an upset. The over/under for the game is set at 47.5 points, and is hovering thereabouts by most of the top odds-makers.

As noted by OddsShark, betting the over might be the smart option in this one. The total has gone over in 11 of Detroit's last 13 road games, and in six of Chicago's last eight home games. Both teams feature strong offenses lead by strong quarterbacks in Matthew Stafford and Jay Cutler.
