Miami Dolphins Coaching Search Includes Chicago Bears' Dave Toub, According To Report

The Miami Dolphins have requested to interview the Chicago Bears' long-time special teams coach Dave Toub for their head coach opening.

Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune is reporting the Miami Dolphins have an interest in the Chicago Bears special teams coach Dave Toub. The Bears have several days to negotiate with their long-time special teams coach, so the Dolphins had to request permission to interview Toub.

Toub has led one of the league's top special teams units for eight seasons, earning him consideration for a top coaching position in the NFL. With no small amount of credit due to All-Pro KR Devin Hester, the Bears under Toub have averaged a league-leading 15.7 yards per kick return in 2011 while long-sporting one of the NFL's best punt and kick coverage schemes.
