With the 2012 NFL Draft approaching, college seniors will begin receiving invites to the 2012 NFL Combine. Though no official announcement has been made, Illinois Fighting Illini offensive tackle Jeff Allen announced on his Twitter page that he has been invited to this year's combine:

Allen was an honorable mention by the Big Ten coaches for the Illini in both 2010 and 2011, but was named to the Big Ten Second Team in both years by the media. Allen is currently ranked by NFL Draft Scout as the No. 16 offensive tackle in the projected draft class, and certainly could be of use to the Chicago Bears.
