Ex-Jacksonville Jaguars offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter, whose name had been floating around the Chicago Bears' open "passing game coordinator" position, has been hired as the offensive coordinator of the Atlanta Falcons. Koetter directed the Jags offense from 2007 until this past season, when he left following the midseason firing of longtime head coach Jack Del Rio.
Though we can scratch Koetter's name off the list, it remains to be seen who exactly the Bears will be targeting as they look to pair a passing expert with run-focused offensive coordinator Mike Tice. The search, which has yet to really take off, is also likely second on Chicago's offseason priority list behind hiring a new general manager.
