2012 NFL Mock Draft: Will The Chicago Bears Turn To WR Alshon Jeffery?

By most accounts so far, the Chicago Bears are likely to draft either a wide receiver or an offensive lineman in the first round of the 2012 NFL draft. Mocking The Draft's Pick 256 projects the team to select South Carolina wide receiver Alshon Jeffery with the 19th pick:

It's no secret that the Bears need a WR. They haven't had a franchise receiver in forever and Jay Cutler needs a reliable target. Jeffery is a guy who has a lot of questions surrounding his work ethic and athleticism. If he runs well and shines in the interview process, he will be long gone by #19.

Jeffery's 2011 season was a bit of a disappointment after a 1,500 yard season in 2010, but he possesses great size and potential and could develop into the sort of premium receiving target that the Bears are lacking.
