Bears Update: Bears Trail Saints At Halftime 16-10

Bears trail at half.

The Bears got off to another fast start Sunday this time against the New Orleans Saints. Both teams started the game going three and out on their first possesion. Then the scoring began. The Bears put together a great drive that  went 11 plays and covered 87 yards which was capped off by Dane Sanzenbacher's first NFL touchdown. Matt Forte was the star of the drive with a 42 yard run and an 18 yard screen pass. The Saints also seemed to help the Bears with a few dumb penalties to extend the drive.

The Saints seemed to wake up after the Bears scored and went on to score on their next four possesions. Luckily only one was for a TD and three were field goals.

A big concern for the Bears was towards the end of the half when rookie Right Tackle Gabe Carimi left the game with a leg injury. His status is uncertain at this time.
