Super Bowl XLV between the Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers is almost underway. The Steelers are looking for their third SB victory in the last six years. The Green Bay Packers and Aaron Rodgers earned entry to this game the hard way; as the sixth seed, putting together three road victories.
The pomp and circumstance, the hype and repetition, are mercifully coming to an end. It's time to play the game. Aside from Christina Aguilera, the Black-Eyed Peas, and whatever celebrities are in the commercials and/or the stands, we can put aside this day-long pop culture marathon, and enjoy what has all the earmarks of a really great football game.
The announcement for the Walter Payton Humanitarian Award is being made, and the winner is, Madieu Williams of the Minnesota Vikings, who is wearing a number 4 Packers jersey.
We'll be keeping you provided with quarterly updates of the big game, so keep checking back here at SB Nation Chicago, and we'll keep you informed.
