Next season for the Bears isn't going to look like 2010. We knew that already, what with the Bears having a perfect storm of some luck and good scheduling to win the NFC North at 11-5. They'll have a much tougher schedule in 2011.
↵↵They'll have different players at some positions next year, too. Today the Bears announced that they have released vested veterans Tommie Harris, Hunter Hillenmeyer and Kevin Shaffer.
↵↵Harris has played in the Pro Bowl (three times from 2005-07), but his effectiveness and play were down last year. Hillenmeyer missed the entire season with aftereffects from concussions, and may not have pleased management with some of his comments after he was placed on injured reserve. Shaffer started seven games the last two years, but the nine-year veteran was likely an afterthought.
↵↵The Bears will remake their team heading into next season. If there even IS a next season.
