Bears Raise Ticket Prices For 2011

Such things are inevitable after success -- the Bears are going to be raising ticket prices across the board after going to the NFC Championship game this past January.

Today, the Bears sent out a letter to season ticket holders (link opens .pdf) outlining the price increases, which are in general as follows:

Non-club seat increases will range from $5 to $15 per ticket, while club-seat prices will increase by from $10 to $30 per ticket. Bears non-club ticket prices previously ranged from $74 to $140 and were approximately 85 percent of the seats at Soldier Field. Club seats ranged from $265 to $530. For season ticket holders, full payment is due April 7.

This presumes that there will be a season at all in 2011. The Bears announced that for any games that aren't played in 2011, season ticket holders will get refunds no later than 30 days after they figure out how many games, if any, will be played during the 2011 NFL season.

What a mess. Stay tuned.
