Johnny Knox Injury Update: Bears WR Walking, Talking To Teammates A Day After Surgery

Johnny Know underwent surgery on Monday following a scary-looking hit in the first quarter of the Bears' loss to Seattle on Sunday, and according to Seth Jensen, he's already walking and talking to teammates:

How is WR Johnny Knox doing, you ask? I'm told that he's surprised doctors by already walking... a day after surgery.

WR called [Devin Hester] during a receivers meeting, because he wanted to talk to his teammates.

That's great news for Johnny Knox and the Bears and impressive given the nature of Knox's injury. Knox is expected to have a recovery time in the neighborhood of three or four months and could be ready to play at the start of the 2012 season.
