The Chicago Bears (7-7), winless since starting quarterback Jay Cutler went down with a broken thumb, have fallen not only out of serious playoff contention, but out of the graces of FOXSports' Brian Billick. His latest power ranking has the Bears slipping another two slots to No. 20:
20. Bears, 7-7: I don't mean to single out an individual player, but I am not so sure that QB Caleb Hanie could start on an Arena League team. Without Jay Cutler and Matt Forte on offense, this team doesn't stand a chance... [The Bears] won't win another game without at least getting Cutler back.
Chicago still has two games remaining on their docket, facing the no-longer-undefeated Green Bay Packers (13-1) on Christmas Day and traveling to St. Paul to challenge the NFC North cellar-dwelling Minnesota Vikings (2-12).
It is still unclear who the Bears will start at quarterback on Sunday night, but they may start either Hanie or backup Josh McCown -- and some analysts are even calling for rookie QB Nathan Enderle.
