The Bears' leading receiver with 727 receiving yards in 2011, Knox left Sunday's game after sustaining a severe injury in the first quarter. Earlier on Monday, Bears head coach Lovie Smith announced that Johnny Knox was not finished with his surgical procedures and that the third-year pro would miss the remainder of the season.
In recent weeks, the Bears have undergone a massive spate of injuries to their offense, losing QB Jay Cutler, RB Matt Forte, RG Chris Williams and now Knox.
The Bears will play again on Sunday evening, taking on the Green Bay Packers with their hopes of reaching the 2011 NFL Playoffs rapidly dwindling.
