The Chicago Bears lost again in Week 14, but the Detroit Lions and the Atlanta Falcons didn't do them the favor of keeping pace with their recent ineptitude. A drop in the power rankings for the Bears makes perfect sense. In CBS Sports' power rankings, Pete Prisco held the Bears at No. 15 overall.
Here's what he had to say about the Bears after their loss to Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos:
No Jay Cutler. No Matt Forte. No playoffs. They are reeling right now. They just don't do enough on offense.
As for the rest of the NFC Wildcard field, this is how the rankings shook out for that field. Interesting to see the Bears so far down below their competition, but it all makes sense when you look at the standings.
CBS Sports' NFC Wildcard Contender Rankings
8. Atlanta Falcons
11. Detroit Lions
12. New York Giants
13. Dallas Cowboys
