Earl Bennett Fantasy Projection: Keep Bennett On The Bench

Earl Bennett was something of a revelation for the Chicago Bears when he returned from injury in Week 9, but his production has been down since Jay Cutler went out indefinitely. Well, okay, his production has been way down: Bennett has caught two passes for 10 yards in the two games started by Caleb Hanie. It's reasonable to think that the Bears will make an effort to get Bennett involved in the passing game as they attempt to rejuvenate their offense, and might that make for a surprisingly productive fantasy day in Week 14?

Well, according to numberFire.com, don't bet on it. Bennett is projected for 24 receiving yards in Week 14, which would be a marked improvement on his totals of the last two weeks, but still nothing worth starting for, obviously. It may be that, aside from Hanie's general shortcomings, Bennett and Cutler, old college teammates, have an unteachable chemistry that elevates the games of both.
