Bears Vs. Eagles Score Update: Jay Cutler Throws First Quarter Touchdown Pass

The Chicago Bears entered their Monday night matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles as an eight-point underdog. For anyone who has paid attention to this team under Lovie Smith, it should come as no surprise that the Bears used that perceived disrespect to fuel a quick start at Lincoln Financial Field.

The Bears received the opening kickoff and strung together one of their best drives of the season. The 12-play, 79-yard drive featured a 25-yard run by Matt Forte and ended with a 5-yard touchdown pass from Jay Cutler to Matt Spaeth.Cutler and Forte looked fantastic in the opening period. Forte has carried nine times for 52 yards, while Cutler is 6-of-10 for 59 yards, with the touchdown pass.
