Jay Cutler Injury: Bears GM Jerry Angelo "Very Confident" In Caleb Hanie

In an interview with the team's website on Wednesday, Chicago Bears GM Jerry Angelo reiterated that he is "very confident" in back up QB Caleb Hanie's ability to lead the team.

"I’m very confident. We’ve seen a lot of Caleb over his time here. He’s been here four years, and the good news is he knows the offense. It’s his second year in Mike Martz’s system. He’s gotten a good handful of plays and we feel very good about him handling the offense, knowing our personnel and us knowing him to the degree you can know your backup quarterback."

How confident the Bears actually are in Hanie will likely be known this afternoon at 4 p.m. ET when the NFL reveals which team has been awarded Kyle Orton, and which teams put in a waiver claim for him.
