Though the Kansas City Chiefs are currently in last place in the AFC West, at two games back they aren't far out of the playoff hunt just yet. But with quarterback Matt Cassell out for the season with a fractured throwing hand, the Chiefs have been forced to turn to Tyler Palko, who was unimpressive in Week 11 against the Patriots' league worst pass defense.
Palko may not be under center for long though, as NFL Network's Steve Wyche reported on Wednesday that a league source told him that the Chiefs are considering putting a claim in on Kyle Orton. This, obviously, would be bad news for the Bears, who reportedly have interest in bringing Orton back to the Windy City, but may have 30 teams ahead of them in the waiver wire.
