Even when he's injured, Jay Cutler still can't catch a break. A day after the Bears star quarterback broke his right thumb during a dominating 31-20 win over the San Diego Chargers, Cutler's name surfaced in gossip rags not for football but for his love life.
Deadspin tipped us off to a Life and Style Magazine report that Cutler is again engaged to former reality TV star Kristin Kristin Cavallari.
"Kristin is over the moon with happiness," a source tells Life & Style. "She's already told her friends that the engagement is back on. They haven't set a new date yet."
For her part, Cavallari immediately took to Twitter to deny the report. Which begs the question: if we can't trust Life & Style exclusive, what can we trust?
More pertinent to Bears fans is this information: Cutler will have surgery on his thumb on Tuesday. A date has yet to be set for Cutler's return, but team officials seem optimistic that he could be back for the start of the playoffs, or sooner.
