Bears WR Earl Bennett, Orange Cleats Will Be Banned From Field

Bears WR Earl Bennett has already been fined twice by the NFL for wearing neon orange cleats that violate the league's uniform policy, and despite speculation that he would merely face escalating fines if he continued to wear the cleats, ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported today that Bennett would be barred from stepping on the field today if he was wearing the cleats.

It's unclear at the moment whether Bennett will push issue, but needless to say that the Bears need him in the line up today when they face the San Diego Chargers. Since returning from a chest injury in Week 9, Bennett has been the Bears leading receiver in each of the past two games.
