Chicago Bears Injury Report: Lance Louis Likely To Start At Right Tackle

It’s no surprise that Chicago had sky-high hopes for rookie offensive tackle Gabe Carimi. The Bears entered 2011 with a glaring weakness along the offensive line and did nothing about it in free agency, even when armed with as much salary cap space as any team in the NFL. Carimi started the season at right tackle, but hasn’t seen action since dislocating his right kneecap against the New Orleans Saints in Week 2.

The Bears believe Carimi will be available this week, but likely only in a reserve role. That means Lance Louis will probably be your starter at right tackle.

The other big injury for Chicago is wide receiver Earl Bennett. Bennett has been out with a chest injury all season, but has been cleared to play and is expected to participate practices leading up to the week.
