D.J. Moore Injury Update: Bears CB May Miss Game Against San Diego

Chicago Bears cornerback D.J. Moore may end up missing Sunday's game against the San Diego Chargers after missing practice on Thursday with an ankle injury. Head coach Lovie Smith told reporters that Moore injured his ankle during the latter portion of Wednesday's practice.

Moore, 24, is Chicago's starting nickelback in his third year with the team. He's been a key part of the Bears' impressive defense, notching 37 tackles so far this year. He's also intercepted three passes, returning one of them for a touchdown. He got some additional attention last week for his role in a brawl with Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford, but the league hasn't announced any sort of suspension at this time.

Let's hope that Moore doesn't miss the game on Sunday regardless, whether it's due to suspension or this recent injury. Smith added that the team would continue to monitor his status.
