Bears WR Earl Bennett Fined Again For Orange Cleats

Chicago Bears WR Earl Bennett really likes his orange cleats. A week after being suspended $5,000 for wearing neon orange cleats that violated the league's uniform policy, Bennett trotted out in his eye-popping footwear for the Bears' game against the Lions, and so today the league doubled the fine to $10,000.

Bennett apparently has no problem paying thousands of dollars for his ability to wear whatever he pleases, but the punishments down the line might not go over to well in the Bears front office. Bennett told ESPN Radio in Chicago that he heard his next fine will be for $15,000, then $20,000 after than, and finally, he'll be called for a delay of game and ejected by an on-field referee. At that point it might no longer be a laughing matter.
