Though Jay Cutler played an admirable game in Philly's Week 9 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles, his fantasy production was still average at best, mostly thanks to two interceptions. In Week 10, Cutler and the Bears will face the Detroit Lions, and numberFire.com is cautious about Cutler's potential for a good fantasy day. numberFire has Cutler projected as the No. 15 quarterback for Week 10, so fantasy owners in leagues that start only one QB should look for a better option if possible. But Cutler would be a solid QB2 in leagues where teams start two quarterbacks.
The middling projection on Cutler is likely rooted in two developments. The main one is that Cutler will be facing the Lions' No. 5 ranked passing defense, a defense that picked off Cutler twice in the teams' Week 5 match up. The other is that Cutler will be playing with Devin Hester, who injured his ankle vs. the Eagles, at less than 100%.
