I was very happy to go 11-5 with my picks in week 4. Things started off rough thanks to the Eagles, Browns, Bills, and Vikings. I was prepared to have a sub .500 record with my failures in those games. I did rebound nicely though and was undefeated in the 3:00 games and after. Overall I am now 42-22 on the season. Here are my picks for week 5.
Minnesota 17 Arizona 14
I have to stop picking the Vikings, but I'll give them one more shot. This will be close, but I think they will pull it out at home.
Cincinnati 20 Jacksonville 17
Coming off a great win against Buffalo, I think the Bengals will keep rolling and win a close one with the Jags.
Indianapolis 21 Kansas City 17
Colts have been playing better the past couple weeks. Chiefs aren't good either so I think this is the week the Colts will get on the board.
New Orleans 31 Carolina 21
Saints are rolling, Carolina isn't a pushover but I think the Saints will prevail.
Houston 21 Oakland 17
I would have liked Texans a lot more if Andre Johnson were playing, but both teams will run the ball a lot in this game and I'll take Houston at home in a close one.
Buffalo 24 Philadelphia 21
I'll take the Bills over the Dream Team.
NY Giants 27 Seattle 13
Giants haven't looked great, but Seattle is bad so the Giants will win with ease.
Pittsburgh 20 Tennessee 17
Tough to pick not knowing Big Ben's status. Pittsburgh is tough at home so I think they'll win a close one.
New England 31 NY Jets 17
Pats should win against the under achieving Jets.
San Diego 27 Denver 17
Denver is in a free fall and Chargers are playing well so I have to go with the Chargers.
San Francisco 17 Tampa Bay 13
This is one of the better games of the week. I'll take the Niners at home.
Green Bay 31 Atlanta 24
Rematch of the 2010 playoff game will come with the same result. Game will be closer but Packers will win.
Detroit 27 Chicago 17
Lions will be jacked up playing on Monday Night Football for the first time in a real long time. Lions will continue their great start.
