Week 8 NFL Power Rankings: SB Nation Ranks Bears No. 14

On the strength of their win over Tampa Bay on Sunday, the Chicago Bears moved up to 14th in the latest SB Nation NFL power rankings.

The Chicago Bears got a big game from Matt Forte in London on Sunday and took care of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 24-18. The win put Chicago above .500 for the first time since week one, and while the Bears remain in third place within the NFC North, they're on the move in Joel Thorman's latest NFL power rankings for SB Nation:

14. Chicago Bears (4-3, LW: 17): Jay Cutler's playing pretty well under less-than-ideal conditions with that offensive line. That's a good sign for the future.

The two teams ahead of Chicago in the NFC North standings, Green Bay and Detroit, check in at No. 1 and No. 8, respectively. There may be no stopping the Packers, but the Lions have stumbled a bit over the last two weeks, and the Bears will have an opportunity to gain more ground when they host Detroit in week 10.
