Week one the Bears made their fans believers after blowing out the Atlanta Falcons. Weeks 2-5 the Bears made us fans excited for the Blackhawks starting their season. Tonight they once again looked like world beaters as they beat up the Vikings 39-10.
Jay Cutler was only sacked once and wasn't pressured most of the night like he was against the Lions. Cutler also had a passer rating of 115.9 which is pretty good.
Matt Forte continued his great season averaging over five yards per carry and added another 36 yards receiving.
Devin Hester actually was decent as a receiver tonight, and the moronic Vikings decided to kick to him and he made them pay as he always does when he took one to the house after the Vikings somewhat gained momentum after their lone touchdown.
The defense played great holding Adrian Peterson to under 40 yards rushing. Unlike the Lions who torched the Bears defense for one big play after another, the Vikings only had 3 plays that went for over 20 yards from scrimmage.
The coaching staff, although not really challenged on Sunday Night, made some great decisions during the week on changes to the lineup and to the play calling that really seemed to work.
Yes I know they played the slumping Vikings as the local media has repeatedly reminded me on every postgame show, but hey a dominant win deserves respect.
I know it was only one game and they don't have an easy task heading to London to face the Bucs and tonight in no means made me think we have Super Bowl aspirations, but this week they deserve props. I was especially hard on the Bears and Lovie after last week. Lets hope they keep playing like they did tonight.
