NHL All-Star Game, Pro Bowl Highlight Sunday Sports TV Schedule, 1/30

It's All-Star Sunday! If you're into that sort of thing. Don't expect anyone in the NHL or NFL star contests to play any defense. Usually the score is about 14-12 -- and that's in the hockey game. The NFL Pro Bowl scores are usually in the 40-point range; no one hits in the game, and especially with the new rules discouraging that sort of thing.

There's college basketball today if you're interested in games that actually mean something, as well as some NBA action.

↵

12 noon, CBS-2: College basketball, No. 3 Duke at St. John's.

↵

12 noon, ABC-7: NBA, Heat at Thunder. Hmmm. Heat vs. Thunder -- result: heat lightning?

↵

2:30 p.m., ABC-7: NBA, Celtics at Lakers. Do you get the feeling there's a conspiracy to get these two in the Finals every year?

↵

3 p.m., Big Ten Network: College basketball, Iowa at Michigan.

↵

3 p.m., Versus: NHL All-Star Game from Raleigh, North Carolina. Which seems about as unlikely a location for hockey in the USA as you could imagine.

↵

5 p.m., Big Ten Network: College basketball, Indiana at Michigan State.

↵

6 p.m., Fox-32: NFL Pro Bowl from Honolulu, Hawaii. In addition to the non-meaning of the game, those of us in snowy climates can be jealous of the Hawaiian warmth and sunshine. Have they no feelings at all?

↵

9 p.m., CSN Chicago: College basketball, No. 17 Washington at Washington State.

9 p.m., ESPN: NBA, Jazz at Warriors.
