Chicago Bears Vs. Minnesota Vikings: Brett Favre Helped Off After Corey Wootten Sack, Bears Score 17-7

A Robbie Gould touchback is followed by a long gain by Toby Gerhart. On first down he hits Jim Kleinsasser for seven, then a no-gainer from Gerhart. Third and two and the first quarter winds down.

Gerhart is flattened on the first play of the second quarter, and the Vikings call timeout, on fourth and one.

With nothing at stake, the Vikings are free to let Favre try to showboat his way through the whole game, should he last that long. But they decide to punt.

They’re avoiding kicking to Devin Hester, and the ball goes out of bounds at the 25.

Matt Forte carries for five, and follows with another three on a pitch. Cutler has to get rid of it, and he’s pounded to the turf. Three and out.

Maynard boots the punt, and the Vikings will start from about the 34. Favre hits Sidney Rice for a quick first down. Peppers deflects the screen pass, and almost pulls it in. Second and ten, and Gerhart fights for about six,.

On third down Corey Wootten sacks Brett Favre, who isn’t getting up. Favre limps off the field after losing 13 yards on Wooten’s first career sack. remember the name, as it might be the answer to the trivia question, “Who was the last person to sack Brett Favre?”

The Vikings punt out of bounds.

The Bears are driving after another out of bounds punt. Cutler brings the team down field fast, and after a laser to Bennett it's first and ten at the Vikings 15. A Chester Taylor run goes for no gain, and then Cutler hits Devin Hester for another touchdown. 17-7 Bears
