NFL players go on to many different careers after playing; two Chicago Bears went to law school after their football careers and have made it to the top of their post-football professions in the law.

Former Bears kicker Bob Thomas is a member of the Illinois Supreme Court and served as its Chief Justice from 2005-2008.

And Alan Page, once a member of the feared "Purple People Eaters" defense for the Minnesota Vikings and who played for three-plus seasons with the Bears, is on the Supreme Court in his home state of Minnesota. Recently, author Bill Magrane wrote All Rise: The Remarkable Journey of Alan Page about Page's life and last week, when Page was in the Chicago area for a book signing, Elliott Harris of the Sun-Times did this interview with him:
