NCAA Tournament bracket 2013: Illinois, Notre Dame both receive No. 7 seeds

Illinois joins six other Big Ten teams in the big dance, while Notre Dame also receives an at-large bid.

The Illinois Fighting Illini and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish are both in the NCAA tournament, and both teams earned No. 7 seeds.

Illinois is the No. 7 seed in the East region. They will face the Colorado Buffaloes on Friday at 4:40 p.m. ET in Austin, TX. The winner of that game will meet either the No. 2 Miami Hurricanes or the No. 15 Pacific Tigers on Sunday.

Notre Dame is in the West Region, and their first opponent will be the Iowa St. Cyclones. They will tip off at 9:45 p.m. ET on Friday in Dayton, Ohio. The winner of that matchup will either face the No. 2 Ohio St. Buckeyes or the No. 15 Iona Gaels.

Overall, the Big Ten placed seven teams in the NCAA tournament; joining Illinois and Ohio St. are the No. 1 Indiana Hoosiers, the No. 3 Michigan St. Spartans, the No. 4 Michigan Wolverines, the No. 5 Wisconsin Badgers and the No. 11 Minnesota Golden Gophers.
