The 2013 NIT Tournament bracket was officially unveiled Sunday night, with the Kentucky Wildcats receiving the No. 1 overall seed among the field. Alabama, Southern Miss and Virginia round out the list of top seeds for this year's field.
Kentucky entered last year's NCAA Tournament as the favorite to run the table, and John Calipari's squad did not disappoint, defeating Kansas in the championship game. After an exodus to the NBA and a major injury to Nerlens Noel, the Wildcats find themselves looking to keep their season alive in the NIT. They will take on Robert Morris at 7:30 p.m on Tuesday night to start their road.
Seven Big 10 teams made the NCAA Tournament, but Iowa will be the lone conference representative in the NIT. The Hawkeyes finished 21-12 this season, worthy of a No. 3 seed. They will face No. 6 Indiana State in the opening round.
