Notre Dame Fighting Irish head football coach Brian Kelly was named the Walter Camp Coach of the Year on Wednesday, as noted by ESPN Chicago. Kelly will be honored during a Jan. 12 banquet at Yale.

It's Kelly's fourth national coach of the year award, after leading Notre Dame to its first BCS National Championship game appearance in over 20 years. He's the first ever Irish coach to win the award, which is voted on by the nation's 124 FBS coaches and sports information directors.

He'll be joined by linebacker Manti Te'o, who won the Walter Camp Player of the Year honor this year.

Kelly took home the Associate Press, Eddie Robinson and Home Depot coach of the year awards this season as well. As noted by ESPN, he's also one of six finalists for the Liberty Mutual Coach of the Year award, which will be announced on Monday.

Also of significance on Monday? Just a national title game against Alabama.
