It's no secret that the Bears struggled up front this season as they gave up 44 sacks, the eighth highest total in the NFL. And it's that reason that virtually ever mock draft you see between now and April will have Chicago using its first-round pick on an offensive lineman.
CBS Sports' Rob Rang currently has the Bears drafting Central Michigan OT Eric Fisher with the 20th overall pick.
The Bears' offensive line is a mess and with little hope of getting better without reinforcements. Fisher isn't widely known by fans, but the 6-7, 305-pounder has ranked as NFLDraftScout.com's top senior offensive tackle for the past two months, boasting the athleticism and tenacity to emerge as a clear-cut top 20 prospect with a strong performance at the Senior Bowl.
Rang is higher on Fisher than most, but as he notes, that could change after the Senior Bowl.
Fisher, a three-year starter, was a first-team All-MAC selection in 2012, and a third-team selection as a junior.
