Cubs Vs. Diamondbacks: Chicago Looks For First NL West Road Win Saturday

The Cubs have two more chances to avoid a dubious distinction.

They sit at 0-17 in road games against NL West teams in 2012, and with two more games against Arizona, they're looking to avoid becoming the first team to ever lose all of its games to one division.

Since MLB went with a divisional alignment in 1969, the worst record one team has had on the road against a division is 1-14, set by the Brewers this season against the NL East. Two more losses at Arizona, starting at 8:10 p.m. ET Saturday, would also give the Cubs 100 losses on the season.

The Cubs will start Justin Germano Saturday. He's looking for his first win in his last seven starts. During that stretch, he has a 7.86 ERA and hasn't completed six innings in any of them. He allowed four runs and 10 hits in 5 2/3 innings of a 6-3 loss to St. Louis Sept. 23.
