The Chicago Bears are set to bring in former Green Bay Packers running back Ryan Grant for a workout, according to Jason La Canfora on Twitter. Grant is set to visit on Tuesday, about a week after he visited with the Detroit Lions. Chicago's running back situation doesn't look as serious as Detroit's, but then again, this workout could mean we really don't know everything about the Chicago running back situation.

Matt Forte missed Sunday's game against the St. Louis Rams, but most expected that he would be back heading into Week 4. It's unclear if Grant is coming in to help out on the chance of further missed time for Forte, or if there are injuries elsewhere on the running back depth chart.

Behind Forte, there's Michael Bush, who took some hard hits in Sunday's 23-6 win over the St. Louis Rams. Bush was injured off and on with the Oakland Raiders before coming to Chicago, so getting some actual playing time as the starter could have been rough on him. At any rate, it's likely we'll know for sure on Thursday, when the Bears meet for their first practice of the week in advance of a Monday Night Football showdown with the Dallas Cowboys.
