Tour Championship 2012: Brandt Snedeker Clinches FedEx Cup Win

Brandt Snedeker captured the 2012 Tour Championship, breaking ahead of the pack with a steady Sunday round and finishing with a score of 10-under.

Snedeker was tied for the lead through eight holes, but he would push ahead with clutch birdie after clutch birdie including a chip-in for birdie on hole 17.

The win also gave Snedeker his first FedEx Cup title, and a bonus of $10 million for winning the season-long chase.

Both Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy had an outside shot of the FedEx Cup, but both failed to get the necessary points to do so. Woods finished tied for eighth at two-under while McIlroy was a stroke behind at one-under in 10th place.
