Illinois Vs. Louisiana Tech: Illini Trail, 21-17, At Halftime

The Illinois Fighting Illini scored the first touchdown of the game on an 18-yard pass from Nathan Scheelhaase to Ryan Lankford, but the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs then scored 21 consecutive points and lead, 21-17, at halftime Saturday.

Louisiana Tech's touchdowns all came in the first quarter. Colby Cameron threw a touchdown pass to D.J. Banks and Tevin King and Kenneth Dixon each had rushing touchdown to put the Bulldogs up 21-7.

Illinois climbed back into the game in the second quarter. The Illini got a 26-yard field goal from Taylor Zalewski early in the second quarter and Donovonn Young scored a touchdown with 4:05 left in the half to cut the lead to 21-7.

Scheelhaase and Reilly O'Toole are a combined 14-for-18 passing for 137 yards. Scheelhaase has thrown an interception and also lost a fumble.
