Jabari Parker, the nation's No. 1 men's basketball recruit for 2013, has invited coaches from the top college programs in the country for in-home recruiting visits ever since he released his list of ten finalists during the summer, and the latest coaches to make their pitch are legends of the game. Tom Izzo of the Michigan State Spartans has a visit scheduled for Thursday night, and Mike Krzyzewski of the Duke Blue Devils is set to visit on Friday.
The 10 schools in Parker's short list are: Kentucky, Stanford, Michigan State, Kansas, Florida, Duke, Georgetown, North Carolina, BYU and DePaul, and the Simeon High School star also recently added Connecticut to the mix. Simeon coach Robert Smith told the Chicago Tribune that he does not think Parker will wait until the spring to make his big decision, so this series of in-home visits could make a more immediate impact than might be expected during this very public recruiting process.
