The 2012 FedEx Cup Tour Championship is underway, and there's some of the usual names up top. But first, we'll talk about Rory McIlroy. Sitting at the top of the standings overall, McIlroy finds himself even on the day through four holes, and shares a tie for 12th along with eight others, including Phil Mickelson and Ernie Els. Tiger Woods, who shares the final pairing with McIlroy and holds the second spot in the overall standings, is tied for the No. 6 spot at 1-under through four.
Scott Piercy is in lone possession of first place, as he's 4-under on the day through 15, while guys like Justin Rose and Bo Van Pelt find themselves at 2-under. As for players relevant to the region, both Luke Donald and Steve Stricker have teed off already, though they're having relatively different days.
Donald is tied for 18th place with six others and is 1-over on the day. He's gone through 11 holes too, so not the greatest start for him. Stricker is 1-under on the day through nine holes and is tied for sixth along with Woods. Check up on the full leaderboard over at Golf.com.
