Working with AT&T, Chicago Bulls star Derrick Rose has released a public service announcement against texting on a cell phone while driving. Blog A Bull posted a link to the PSA, and we've got the embed after the jump, so head down to that when you get a chance. Rose is shown "driving" to the hoop for a dunk and talks about the things he can do while driving (again, on the court).
After finishing the dunk, it cuts away to Rose in his car, where he says one thing he'll never do is text while driving. The tag line (and Twitter hashtag) is "It Can Wait." Paul La Schiazza, President of AT&T Illinois had a quote on the whole movement and PSA:
"Our goal is to save lives," said Paul La Schiazza, President, AT&T Illinois. "With the support of Governor Quinn, Secretary White and Derrick Rose, we're challenging every driver in Illinois to take the pledge to never text and drive again."
You can visit www.ItCanWait.com for more information on the movement, and you can also take the pledge yourself. The video runs for about 30 seconds and you can find it embedded after the jump, so be sure to check it out.
