White Sox Vs. Twins Final Score: Chicago Skates To 6-0 Victory

The Detroit Tigers won on Friday night, but so did the Chicago White Sox, thus ensuring that Chicago maintained its one-game lead in the AL Central. The White Sox were led by a solid pitching performance from starter Chris Sale and a scoreless three innings from relievers Brett Myers and Matt Thornton. Sale allowed three hits and struck out five over six innings, earning his 17th win of the season.

The White Sox steadily put runs on the board, scoring a single run in the second, fourth, six and ninth innings and two runs in the seventh. Chicago only mustered two extra-base hits on Friday night: an Alex Rios double and a Kevin Youkilis homer that highlighted the seventh inning.

The two teams will take the field again on Saturday at 12:10 p.m. CT, with Francisco Liriano going up against Samuel Deduno.
